Thomas Case, the son of Jean and US Navy Chief Petty Officer George Case, was born in New Jersey on Oct. 30, 1946. Tom had received his bachelor's degree in theatre arts and had worked on his master's degree at the University of Michigan.
Tom lived in Houston, Texas, for 22 years. He had worked as a civil clerk at the Harris County Courthouse in Houston and retired in January of 2002. Tom was very active in the Gay Men's Chorus of Houston, both as a bass singer and as a performance director. He was also a fine pianist, and an actor and dancer, appearing in musical productions such as "Hello Dolly!"
In August of 2002, Tom moved to Fargo. He enjoyed social entertaining and was an excellent gourmet cook. He also donated many wonderful meals to local charities. He recently became a resident of Elim Care Center, Fargo, where he died on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at the age of 57.
Tom is survived by his mother, Jean Case, of Toms River, NJ, and a close friend, Lt. Col. Robert Poster (retired, US Army) of Fargo.
