Tito Salinas, Jr., 51, of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, August 20, 2017, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.
Tito Salinas, Jr, was born June 24, 1966, the son of Tito and Ninfa Salinas, Sr., in Mission, TX. He was raised in Mission and graduated from LaJoya High School. He then made his home in Palmview, TX, where he married, Griselda Compos and worked as a mechanic. Tito later moved to Houston, TX, where he met Victoria Martinez, and continued working as a mechanic. In 2006, he moved to Moorhead and for the last years was self-employed.
Tito enjoyed fishing, barbequing, traveling and going to the casino. He also enjoyed spending time with family, especially his granddaughters.
He is survived by his mother, Nimfa Salinas, Mission; children, Angelica (Fernando) Tamez, Dilworth, MN, Tito Salinas III, Melody Salinas, and Nathaniel Salinas, all of Colorado; grandchildren, Cristy, Jasmine and Lia Tamez; stepson, Felipe Tamez, Jr, Dilworth; Sister, Petra Salinas, Edinburg, TX; brother, Jesus Salinas, Sr, Palmview; longtime companion, Sofia Tamez, Dilworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Visitation for Tito will be one hour prior to his funeral service.
His Funeral Service will be Friday, August 25, 2017, at 3 PM, in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
