Tyler M. Eggen, 83, Fargo, ND, formerly of Dilworth, MN, died Friday, December 19, 2003, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fargo.
Tyler Milford Eggen was born May 19, 1920, to Engebret and Mary (Mennis) Eggen in Litchville, ND, where he grew up and graduated from high school.
Tyler served in the US Army during WWII from 1944 to 1946. On May 19, 1951, he married Winifred Stanley Hall in Glyndon, MN, and they made their home in Dilworth. Tyler worked for Burlington Northern Railroad from 1937 to 1980. Winifred died in March of 1968 and Tyler continued to make his home in Dilworth until becoming a resident of the Elim Pioneer House, Fargo, in 2000.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Richard) Stenberg, Perham, MN; two sons, Robert (Alyce) Hall, Janesville, WI, and Stan (Tina) Eggen, College Station, TX; a brother, Eldred Eggen, Fargo; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
