Ursula B. Brewer

June 29, 1925 — October 23, 2006

Ursula Barbara Brewer was born June 29, 1925, to Chester Lee and Lillie (Edenstrom) Brewer in Wolverton, MN, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She then moved to Minneapolis, MN, to attend the University of Minnesota. While there, she worked at the University of Minnesota Hospital as a surgical technician.

Ursula then began working for Brown and Bigelow, St. Paul, MN, as a sales/finance manager. Ursula took great pride in her job and was a very loyal and hard working employee. She worked for Brown and Bigelow for fifty-four years, retiring in 2001.
Ursula continued to make her home in St. Paul after her retirement, eventually moving in with her niece, Karen Brewer. In August of 2006, Ursula became a resident of Our Lady of Good Counsel Cancer Home, St. Paul, where she died on Monday, October 23, 2006, at the age of eighty-one.

Ursula was an excellent story-teller and she had a book published called "Legacy of Faith" where she wrote about her mother and family. Ursula also enjoyed sports and was an avid football and baseball fan. She was a season ticket holder for the Golden Gophers and was a fan of both the Twins and the Vikings.

Ursula is survived by a niece, Karen Brewer, South St. Paul, MN; a first cousin, Genevieve (Marvin) McElhose, Socorro, NM; and a second cousin, Sharon (Dr. Charles) Heuer, Moorhead, MN.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Glenn, and LeRoy.

The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at 11 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial is in Eagle Cemetery, Christine, ND.
