Valborg K. I. Olson Koehne, age 78, passed away at her home in Grove, OK, on June 18, 2013.
She was born on August 14, 1934, to Theodore and Berthine Olson, in Shevlin, MN, where the family owned the creamery. Valborg attended school in Shevlin and graduated from Bagley (MN) High School in 1951.
Valborg was a partner with her husband, John, in various ventures whether it was construction or the garage door business. She also held a real estate license and was very active in that field. In her younger years, Valborg sang for creamery conventions and carried the love of music throughout her life.
She is survived by four daughters, Linda Frink, and her husband Ed, of Florissant, CO, Breta Campbell and her husband Bob, of Roosevelt, UT, Karolyn Grodal of Grove, and Jodi Carson-Stubbs and her husband Joey, of Port Orchard, WA; one brother, Theodore Olson and his wife Norma, of Clearwater, MN; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Valborg was preceded in death by her husband, John Koehne; parents; and one brother, Travis Olson.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 9 AM, followed by the funeral at 10 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Sundal Cemetery, near Fertile, MN.
