Vickie Reinking Brault

October 28, 1954 — February 8, 2025

Moorhead, MN

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Vickie Reinking Brault, who, after a courageous battle with cancer, was embraced by peace on February 8, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family at Sanford Fargo Hospice, ND. Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at Sanford Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care during Vickie’s final journey.

Born on October 28, 1954, in Madison, South Dakota, to Gordon and Ramona (McCoy) Gutzman, Vickie brought joy and kindness to all who knew her. On April 6, 1974, she married Ronald D. Reinking, and together they built a beautiful life in Minnesota, raising three wonderful sons. Her heart was always at home, and for ten years, she lovingly cared for children through her home daycare before embarking on a career in office administration. She worked at Leslie Paper in Minneapolis for twelve years and later dedicated eighteen years to M&M Bus in Annandale, where her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Vickie’s passion for scrapbooking was more than just a hobby—it was a testament to her love of family and storytelling. She began scrapbooking in high school, took a brief pause, and reignited her passion with the arrival of her first grandson. Over the years, she lovingly created approximately 45 scrapbooks, capturing the laughter, milestones, and cherished moments of her family. Some remain unfinished, a bittersweet reminder of the love she poured into every page.

On February 24, 1996, Vickie found love again and married Robert A. Brault (Bob). Together, they shared a deep appreciation for antiques, thrift shopping, home renovations, and most of all, their love for cats. Over the years, they transformed five houses into warm, welcoming homes filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Vickie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose heart swelled with joy watching her grandchildren grow. She delighted in their adventures, celebrated their accomplishments, and was their biggest cheerleader in sports and all of life’s endeavors.

She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Gordon Gutzman, and her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Brault.

Vickie’s legacy of love continues through her three sons: Jeremy (Anna) of Moorhead, Jamison (Tiffany) of Saint Michael, and Josh (Sarah) of Clear Lake; her stepchildren: Shonnie (Jason) and Bobby (Hailey); her fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear mother, Ramona; two sisters, Cheryl and Debby; one brother, Greg; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Vickie’s life was a beautiful story of love, resilience, and devotion. Though she is no longer physically with us, the warmth of her love, the wisdom in her words, and the laughter she brought into our lives will remain in our hearts forever.

Private Services for Vicki will be held at a later time.
