Victor P. Kath, age 94, of Moorhead MN, died May 27, 2013, in Villa Maria, Fargo, ND.
Victor Paul Kath was born November 11, 1918, to Reinhard and Minnie (Rath) Kath in Tenney, MN. He grew up on the farm near Tenney and went to school in Campbell, MN, where he graduated from Campbell High School in 1937. He also attended Interstate Business College and the Dale Carnegie School. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
On October 18, 1948, he married Velaria Heitkamp. They moved to Tenney, where Victor worked for the Farmers Elevator Company. They moved to Moorhead in 1952, where he was employed by Red River Grain Company for 30 years. He retired in 1982. They had four children, a daughter and three sons.
Victor was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars serving as the commander in 1972-73.
He was a faithful husband and loving father and grandfather. He was always available to help with projects or grandchildren. He will be remembered for his gentleness and sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the lake.
Victor is survived by a daughter, Kathryn (Dan) Kimm, Bozeman, MT; three sons, James (Joan) Kath, Moorhead, Paul (Candyce) Kath, Brainerd, MN, and Mark (Tammy) Kath, Lakeville, MN; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by

Funeral Service: Friday, May 31, 2013, at 10:30 AM in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 610 15th Street North, Moorhead.
Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
