Violet May Bulson was born May 15, 1923, to Elijah and Johanna (Schow) Bulson in Twin Valley, MN, where she grew up and graduated from high school.
On August 27, 1944, Violet married Tilford Berg in Twin Valley where they made their home. Violet and Tilford farmed in the Syre, MN, area until they moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1953. Violet worked for various families as a day care provider.
Violet and Tilford became residents of Moorhead Health Care in 1998, and Tilford died on March 31, 2000.
Violet died Saturday, July 23, 2005, in Moorhead Health Care Center at the age of eighty-two.
Violet enjoyed watching the news and discussing politics, as she was a staunch Democrat. She loved children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Violet was the center of the family and having the family get together was very important to her.
Violet is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Moen, Detroit Lakes, MN; a son, Gary (Renee) Berg, Moorhead; four grandchildren, Brad (Sara) Moen, Jill (Daniel) Gowens, Mark (Rebecca) Berg, and Kristin Berg; and eight great-grandchildren, Deanna, Alycia, Lindsey, and Abigail Moen, Zachariah, Jaycie, and Kaylie Gowens, and Marissa Berg.
In addition to her husband, Violet was preceded in death by four brothers, seven sisters, and a son-in-law, Richard Moen.
