Virginia L. Gwynn, 86, Pelican Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 in MeritCare Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.
Virginia Lee Gasaway, daughter of Clyde and Esther (Koplau) Gasaway, was born August 9, 1923 in Dilworth, MN. She spent her early years in Chicago, IL. After her mother died, the family returned to Minnesota, and Virginia graduated from Moorhead (MN) High School.
On June 5, 1941, Virginia married Wallace Gwynn at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sabin, MN. Following their marriage, the family lived in Sabin, and later in Fargo. Virginia worked for Northwestern Bell and National Analyst. In 1982, the couple moved to Pelican Rapids, where they had lived since. Virginia liked to travel, golf, swim, and she devoted a lot of time to her flowers and her garden. She was fond of her Siamese cats.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Wallace, Pelican Rapids, MN; two daughters, Judith McCarthy, Lincoln, CA, and Sandra (Robert) Green, Olympia, WA; two sisters, Jean "Pat" Gwynn, Fargo, and Esther Tuttle, Redwood Valley, CA; and two grandsons, Troy and Torey Casey.
Memorial service: Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 @ 1 PM,

Inurnment: Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
