https://portal.midweststreams.com/services/watch/5Qb9YhSYB3 Vivian Marion Murphy was born December 7, 1924, in Kulm, ND, to Walter and Rose (Witkowski) Fercho. She moved to Belfield, ND, and graduated from high school in 1942.
After high school, Vivian ventured out to Spokane, WA, with one of her friends for few years to see what life was like out west. In 1948, she moved to Beach, ND, and married the love of her life Ted Murphy. Together they had three children: Patty, Kathy and Tom. Vivian loved them with all of her heart and was so proud of their accomplishments. In 2012, she moved to Villa Maria in Fargo, ND, and thoroughly enjoyed the care the staff provided and the companionship of the other residents, especially her daily card games.
Vivian was always a hard worker and loved to socialize. Being a waitress in Beach was her calling. She welcomed people into many of the local restaurants and served them with pride. After retirement, Vivian continued living her best life. She enjoyed traveling, daily coffee with her friends, bingo, playing cards and casino trips. Vivian was a lucky lady when she was playing, but also in other aspects of her life. She felt lucky to have a family that took time for her. Vivian's smile lit up the room when she received visits from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vivian knew she was blessed and her family always felt her love through her big hugs!
Vivian died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Villa Maria in Fargo at 96 years of age.
She is survived by her children, Patty Murphy, Kathy Redfield, and Tom Murphy; seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
