Vivian M. Pixley, age 86, of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, March 23, 2007, at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Vivian May Sandie, the daughter of Chris and Lydia (Nichols) Sandie, was born at Moorhead, MN, on May 30, 1920. She grew up and received her education in Moorhead, where she graduated from high school in 1938.
On July 27, 1940, Vivian was united in marriage to Charles Pixley, in Moorhead. Following their marriage, they lived in Fargo, ND, and in Moorhead, where they lived at 1604 3rd Street S., for more than 50 years.
Mr. Pixley died on January 7, 2005. In February of 2007, Vivian became a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Vivian is survived by a daughter, LaDonne Steinkopf, Moorhead; a son, LeRoy (Theresa) Pixley, Moorhead; three grandchildren, Michelle (Paul) Bannerman, Matthew Pixley, and Nathan Steinkopf; and four great- grandchildren, Ethan and Kianna Bannerman and Alexis and Danica Steinkopf.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
