Vivian R. Wichman

Vivian Rose Olson was born January 22, 1928, near Glyndon, MN, to Carrie Buge. She was confirmed and baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in 1953. Vivian attended Moorhead High School and Interstate Business College, Fargo, ND.
Vivian worked as a bookkeeper at Palace Clothiers in Moorhead. She met Glen Wichman in downtown Moorhead and was told by her girlfriend, that introduced them, that he was the man she would marry. Love at first sight!
Vivian was united in marriage to Glen Wichman on March 18, 1953, in Moorhead, MN, where they made their home. The family moved to Rochester, MN, in 1956, and back to Moorhead in 1973.

Vivian died Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in Innovis Health, Fargo, at eighty-one years of age.
One of her proudest accomplishments was working on getting the Moorhead Senior Center moved from the basement of the courthouse to the Hjemkomst Center. She was present at the groundbreaking and at the ribbon cutting as one of the dignitaries. She has been an active member of the Moorhead Senior Center for many years, dining, playing cards and calling bingo.
Vivian enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, word finds, playing cards and quilting. Vivian also enjoyed the Minnesota Twins and rarely missed a televised game. She was a member of the Quilters at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and president of the Friday Fellowship. She will be missed by her 'grandcats', Fred and Barney.

Visitation for Vivian will be Sunday, December 27, 2009, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her funeral will be Monday, December 28, 2009, at 11 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial will be in Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead.
