Vyolette Diede, 97, of Fargo, ND, passed away quietly on April 7, 2016 at Elim Rehab and Care Center in Fargo.
Vyolette Pauline Strobel was born March 28, 1919, to parents Gust and Pauline Strobel. She, along with seven siblings, grew up on a farm near Venturia, ND. After going through school and working various jobs, she was united in marriage to Royal Diede on December 18, 1942, in Venturia. They settled near Eureka, SD, where they farmed for several years before moving to Fargo, in 1955.
Though not employed outside the home, Vyolette kept herself busy helping Royal with various business enterprises. She also dedicated much of her time to teaching children in Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and Child Evangelism Good News Clubs. She also spent much of her time working with Gideons International distributing Bibles to various institutions. Her greatest "mission" in life was to share the Gospel of Christ with as many people as possible, especially children.
Vyolette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Royal; sisters, Leona Lang and Helen Siewert; brothers, Fred and John Strobel; and great-granddaughter Micara Graff.
She is survived by her son, Lew (Connie) Diede; granddaughters, Michelle (Shane) Holmes, Shannon (Glenn) Graff, Sara (Christopher) Nulle; great-grandsons, Terrin and Tate Padilla, Easton Graff and Samuel Nulle; brother, George Strobel; sisters, Mary Auch and Ardell Miller; foster children, Julie Salisbury, Terry (Anna) Trautmann, Jerome (Leane)Trautmann, Clyde (Jean)Trautmann, Dale (Emily) Trautmann; foster grandchildren, Paul, Tom, Cassandra, Kristina, Jessica, Kari, Sheila, Kellee, Kurtis, Timothy, Noah, and Ella; several foster great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family extends a very special thanks to the staffs of Elim Care, Fargo and Hospice of The Red River Valley for the outstanding physical, spiritual and emotional care they provided for Vyolette and her family.

A Visitation for Vyolotte will be Wednesday from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, 409 8th St. South, Moorhead.
Her Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 11 AM, in Metropolitan Baptist Church, 2612 25th St S, Fargo.
Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Garden, Fargo.
