Wallace G. Schellack

Wallace Gaylord Schellack, age 70, of Moorhead, Minnesota, died Saturday, January 14, 2006, at Innovis Health in Fargo, ND.
Wallace Gaylord Schellack, the son of Ed and Leona (Rosenquist) Schellack, was born April 16, 1935, on the family farm near Glyndon, MN. He grew up and received his education in the Glyndon area, where he graduated from high school in 1953.
Gaylord served his country in the US Air Force, on active duty from 1954 to 1958, and in the reserves until 1962. Following his active duty, he returned to Glyndon, where he worked in construction.
On November 30, 1962, he was married to Fern Christensen Bjornson, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Sabin, MN. Following their marriage, they made their home in Glyndon, in a house that Gaylord built himself, which they enjoyed for many years. For 18 years, Gaylord worked for the North Dakota Air National Guard. He retired in May of 1980, as a master sergeant. For many years, Gaylord served as fire chief for Glyndon. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family, especially his father and brothers.
In September of 1992, Gaylord became a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.

Memorial service: Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at 2 PM in Bottolfson Chapel, Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, Minnesota.

Inurnment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, MN.
