Wallace Monson

Wallace Sylvester Monson was born June 19, 1926, in Hatton, ND, to Selmer and Olga (Brandon) Monson.  Wallace was raised in Hatton and graduated with a business degree from Aakers Business College in Grand Forks, ND.

Wallace married Darlene Paulsen November 15, 1959, in Mizpah, MN, and they made their home in Crookston, MN, where Wallace worked for the Minnesota Highway Department as Inventory Control Supervisor.  He retired in 1988, and they moved to Moorhead, MN, afterwards.

Wallace went to be with the Lord Friday, December 2, 2022, under hospice care at his Moorhead home, at ninety-six years of age.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Darlene; sons, Steven, Dean, and Craig; and brother, Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Ann, Odelia, and Alice; and brothers, Conrad, and Sam.

Visitation for Wallace will begin at 1 PM, with a Life Celebration service at 2 PM, Saturday, December 10, 2022, in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead. Burial will take place in the spring in Carl Ben Eielson Cemetery, Hatton.
