Wallace Vorwerk

Wallace I. Vorwerk, 90, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Campbell, MN, died Monday, June 8, 2015, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, in the presence of his loving family.

Wallace Ivan Vorwerk was born August 18, 1924, the son of Arthur and Lida (Beushausen) Vorwerk, in Doran, MN. He attended Doran Public School and began farming at an early age. After retiring from farming, he worked at Ro-Bank's in Wahpeton, ND, and for his son at C & W Machine in Moorhead.

On December 18, 1947, he was united in marriage to Idella Voss at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Campbell. For forty-seven years they farmed near Campbell, where they raised six children, Connie (Bruce) Troe, Chatsworth, CA, Carol (Chip) Dandrow, Plattsburgh, NY, Colette (Mike) Hresko, Austin, TX, Charles Vorwerk, Moorhead, Chellie (Gary) Albers, Cologne, MN, and Christi (Mike) Murphy, Eden Prairie, MN.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 ½ years, Idella; brothers, Robert, and Arthur Philip; and sisters, Margie Ruth, Julia and Beatrice.

He is survived by his six children, as well as twelve grandchildren, Antonia and Matt Palkovic, Christopher, Nicholas, Andrew and Alexa Hresko, Kelcey, Kaitlyn and Ian Albers, and Keely, Shane and Zoe Murphy; brother. Richard Vorwerk; and sister, Delores Voss.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Wallace's name to Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, or donor's choice.

A Visitation for Wallace will be Sunday, June 14, 2015, from 6 PM until 8 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

His Funeral Service will be Monday, June 15, 2015, at 11 AM, in Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Burial will be at 3:00 PM, Monday, in Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, MN.
