Warren Kelly, 87, Fargo, ND, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Sanford Health, Fargo.
Warren E. Kelly, the son of Albert and Ella (Baugh) Kelly, was born August 31, 1923, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As a young child, he moved with his family to Moorhead, where he grew up and received his education.
During WW II, Warren served his country in the US Army. He served overseas in Europe, saw extensive action, and was severely wounded. After his discharge, he returned to the FM area, where he attended business college.
On October 4, 1947, Warren married Leona M. Ulven in Hawley, MN. They lived in the FM area, where Warren worked as an accountant for a number of firms, including Fargo Paint and Glass, where he served as the company secretary/treasurer, until he retired in 1985.
Warren's wife, Leona, died January 10, 1999. After her death, Warren continued to live in Moorhead, and later at his lake home on Turtle Lake.
On December 7, 2001, Warren was married to Shelda Warren. They spents summers on Pelican Lake, and winters in Borrago Springs, CA. In 2007, Warren became a resident of Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo.
Warren is survived by his wife, Shelda Warren, Moorhead; a daughter, Mary Lee Kelly, San Diego, CA; a son, Lance (Becky) Kelly, Hawley; a sister, Ella Mae Beall, Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Taryn (Stephen) Sveet, Daniel, Isaac and Meghan Ke
Visitation: Wednesday, 4 PM to 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead
Funeral service: Thursday, March 3, 2011, at 2:00 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead
