Wayne B. Steen

Wayne Bertrand Steen was born April 19, 1936, in Glyndon, MN, to Bernard "Toby" and Helen (Rehder) Steen. He was raised in the Glyndon area and attended country schools for his education.

Wayne was married to Geraldine Wasferet at one time. He later married Carol Johnson. Wayne worked for American Crystal Sugar, Moorhead, MN, for over forty-eight years. Following his retirement, he continued to make his home in Dilworth, MN.

Wayne enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking all kinds of soups and breads, fishing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Wayne died Wednesday, March 28, 2018, in Sanford Health, Fargo, at eighty-one years of age.

He is survived by his children, Bradley (Andrea), Indianapolis, IN, Murray (Janet), Dilworth, Barbara (Daren) Pracht, Kansas City, KS, and Barry (Brenda), Dilworth; seven grandchildren, Coleman, Carter, Bradyn, Bryce, Brock, Shelby, and Erin; and siblings, Shirley (Marc) Nokken, Moorhead, Audrey Frey, Moorhead, and Kevin, Fargo.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Toby and Helen; and a son, Bryan.

Visitation will begin at 6 PM, followed by a Life Celebration Service at 7 PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
