Wilbert A. Rinas, age 93, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Dent, MN, died Monday, March 25, 2013, in ManorCare Health Services in Fargo, ND.
Wilbert "Willie" Adolph Rinas was born February 3, 1920, in Corliss Township, MN to Frederick and Ida (Wendt) Rinas. On July 20, 1951, he was united in marriage to Wilma Graham in Watertown, SD. They raised three children, Cindi, Corey and Mark.
Willie worked for the co-op in Perham, MN, for many years until purchasing Rinas Oil Gas Station in Dent, in 1963. He was a substitute teacher at Detroit Lakes Tech School and taught small engine motor mechanics at Little Falls High School until 1982, when he retired. He then returned home to Dent.
Willie's passions were hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Cindi (Gerald) Seifert of Silt, CO, Corey (Margie) Rinas of Moorhead, and Mark Rinas of Northfield, MN; grandchildren, Thomas (Lynette) Seifert, Heather Seifert and Emily Rinas; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ahren and Lauren Seifert; sisters, Velma Karvonen of Perham, and Delores Mickelson of Spokane Valley, WA.
A Celebration of Willie's Life will be held later this summer.
