William F. Standfield

William "Bill" Fred Standfield was born January 27, 1925, in Arthur, ND, to Fred and Josie (Landon) Standfield. Bill was raised on the family farm and attended school in Amenia, ND, for his education.
The family moved to the Felton, MN, area in the 1940s where they farmed until moving to Moorhead, MN, in 1957. Bill began driving truck for Kost Brothers in 1960. He remained with them until he retired in the early 1990s.
Bill died Monday, June 8, 2009, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, at eighty-four years of age.
Bill was an avid hunter and particularly enjoyed hunting deer, geese and ducks.
Bill is survived by his brother, Byron "Bud" (June) Standfield, Dilworth, MN; a sister, Bernice Knutson, Moorhead; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Harriet Standfield, Florence Lako, Dorothy Hill, Mae Ward and Jean Steinbeck.
The Memorial Service for Bill be will be Friday, June 12, 2009, at 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
