Winifred B. Lindgren

Winifred Lindgren, 98, Fargo, ND, formerly of Wolverton, MN, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, in ManorCare Health Services, Fargo.

Winifred B. Lium was born May 16, 1915, in rural Christine, ND, to Bennie and Manda (Flaa) Lium. She married Victor Lindgren on June 10, 1937, in Wolverton, where they made their home. She worked with the Post Office for 32 years, eight as Postmaster. Winifred was a member of Wolverton Evangelical Free Church.

Winifred is survived by a daughter-in-law, Janice Lindgren of Fargo; granddaughters, Lesley (Dennis) Hulne of Abercrombie, ND, Julie (Bryan) Loff of Galchutt, ND, and Kathy (Jerry) Olson of Christine; six great-grandchildren, Lucas (Krysta) Hulne, Matthew (Jessica) Hulne and their children, Jordan and Laura Hulne, Jennifer Hulne, Pamela (Kyle) Krump and their daughter, Ella Krump, Katie (fiancé Mike Nordick) Loff, and Alex Loff. She is also survived by her brother, Roger (Judy) Lium of Sun City West, AZ; sisters-in-law, Jane Lindgren and Jeanette Lium; a special cousin, Charlene Schjeldahl; and several nieces and nephews.

Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; her parents; a son, David; brother, Johan; and sister, Mary.

Winifred's family wishes to thank the staff of ManorCare for their loving and attentive care.

Memorials may be given to the Lium Cemetery Fund, Christine, ND.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 1 PM, followed by a funeral at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Lium Cemetery, Christine.
