Yvonne Johnson, age 84, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Crookston, MN, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Yvonne Arlene Behl, the daughter of George and Alma Behl, was born July 24, 1922, in Grand Forks, ND, where she grew up and received her education.
Yvonne married Kenneth R. Johnson, June 14, 1944, in Grand Forks. They lived in Minneapolis, MN, and in Bagley MN, and Crookston, where they owned and operated photography studios.
In 1970, Yvonne moved to Los Angles, CA, where she worked as a photographer and was an accomplished colorist for oil portraits. She worked for Nordstrom Department Stores for 17 years and retired in 1998. Yvonne truly loved her work.
After retirement, Yvonne moved to Canby, Oregon, where she was active in her church, Bethany Evangelical Free Church. She later moved to Moorhead, where she was a resident of Eventide Lutheran Home for more than four years. The family is thankful to Eventide for their loving care
Yvonne is survived by three daughters, Pamela (Lawrence) Berwick, Canby, Debra (David) Brager, Moorhead, and Patricia (Nick) Albano, Molalla, OR; three sisters, Eleanor (Louis) Nelson, Minnetonka, MN, Muriel (Don) Folson, Grafton, ND, and Elaine (Bob) Hal
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral, at Eventide
Funeral service: Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at 2 PM, Bottolfson Chapel, Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND
